Cotswolds Dairy | Sleeps 6 | Dog Friendly
INTRODUCTIONClover Barn is a wonderful, sprawling barn conversion hidden in the depths of a working Cotswold dairy and arable farm.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it sleeps up to six and is completely child and dog friendly. A delightful cottage that offers guests absolute privacy, breathtaking views and utter peace.
The Barn was newly named by The Countess Bathurst in 2013, as it used to be the home for the young calves when it was part of the farm, and as cows just love Clover – the name ‘Clover Barn’ seemed perfect.
It is nestled within the heart of beautiful Gloucestershire farmland and when the maize is growing high, for anyone who has seen the movie ‘Field of Dreams’, you’d almost expect Kevin Costner and ‘Shoeless Joe Jackson’ to come out from the rustling green leaves at any moment.
The Barn itself was converted in 2007 and since The Countess acquired it during the summer of 2013, it has been refurbished to her discerning eye with the addition of gorgeous rugs, sofas and other furnishings. Never quite being able to stop herself from ‘tweaking’, returning guests will find little changes here and there that reflect Lady B’s wish to create a homely and cosy atmosphere for all her visitors. (It’s not uncommon for a guest to return from a day out to find a ‘little house gift’ sitting waiting on the doorstep!)
Offering excellent self catering accommodation, with large living areas that overlook the fields beyond, Clover Barn is the perfect hideaway all year round for families, friends, or simply just you.*
It has all the charms of a typical Cotswold Barn, with lovely high ceilings and exposed beams, but also enjoys the contemporary touches such as 4GEE WiFi connection, television with DVD and Freeview, as well as iPod docks in the kitchen and master bedroom.

It has a fabulous rug, two plush sofas, with an additional armchair. The TV with Freeview & DVD offers entertainment when it’s time to sit back and relax, or there are plenty of guides to read through to plan your day ahead – or simply put feet up and choose one of the books from the bookshelf to read. 4GEE WiFi is provided (basic browsing).

Leads from the other end of the Sitting Room, up two easy steps and is equipped with a super king size double bed that can easily be separated into two singles if required. It has a wardrobe and enjoys a splendid view over the garden and farm beyond. The sheets are Egyptian cotton.
Well equipped, with a bath and attached overhead shower, WC and washbasin. Lovely soft fluffy towels.
Has a queen size double bed and enjoys the same gorgeous views as Bedroom Two. The sheets are Egyptian cotton.
Wonderfully situated and fully enclosed for privacy, surrounded by Cotswold stone walls. Well equipped with pretty table and chairs, and a ‘roll drum’ barbecue for the wonderful local produce available in the area. Imagine standing outside on a balmy evening – glass of something chilled in one hand, a pair of barbecue tongs in the other, staring out over the countryside beyond, while scrumptious sausages sizzle by your side – complete bliss!

Clover Barn has excellent access for trains (Kemble station is less than a mile away), and it is within easy reach of all the wonderful attractions The Cotswolds region has to offer – starting with the market town of Cirencester within 4 miles and Tetbury approximately 6 miles the other way.
Kemble itself is a traditional Cotswold village with a village shop and there is a wonderful choice of local pubs within easy reach.
*Although private – Clover lies within easy reach of Keeper’s Barn and in the case of a larger party, the two barns could be rented together to accommodate eight people.
