Cirencester is the nearest delightful market town (with plenty of supermarkets) and only a few miles away, with an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and a thriving Farmers Market, as well a huge number of attractions including The Cirencester Park Polo Club where Prince Harry and Prince William regularly play. (As a gift from The Countess Bathurst, summer and early autumn guests at Apsley Cottage, Clover Barn and Keeper's Barn will be able to enjoy membership of The Polo Club during the length of their stay).

Other nearby towns include Tetbury, another superb Cotswold market town with a wide selection of shops (In particular antique shops) and made famous by its most important residents at Highgrove House – HRH the Prince of Wales & HRH the Duchess of Cornwall.

It lies approximately 15 minutes drive away and is well worth the visit, as are Cheltenham, Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Moreton-in-Marsh and Upper & Lower Slaughter, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold – all, plus many more delightful Cotswold towns and villages are within easy and close reach of Apsley Cottage, Clover Barn and Keeper's Barn.

For the more determined shopper, Bath, Oxford and Gloucester Quays are also all within an easy drive.
